Orri recognised at the HSJ Partnership Awards for innovation in virtual eating disorder care

London, 20 March 2026 – Orri is proud to announce that our pioneering Orri Online programme has been recognised again as Winner of the Excellence in Clinical Innovation Award, further reflecting our commitment to developing innovative, accessible and evidence-based approaches to eating disorder treatment. We were also Highly Commended in the Best Partnership Delivering Virtual Care category at the HSJ Partnership Awards.

This prestigious award recognises independent healthcare providers making outstanding contributions to mental health care, improving access, patient outcomes, and service efficiency. Orri was honoured for its pioneering Orri Online virtual treatment programme, developed in partnership with the NHS Kent and Sussex Adult Eating Disorders Provider Collaborative, which has expanded access to specialist eating disorder care and improved patient recovery outcomes.

The HSJ Partnership Awards celebrate the most effective collaborations between healthcare providers, suppliers and the NHS, recognising projects that are delivering meaningful improvements in patient care and outcomes.

The recognition highlights the impact of Orri Online, our award-winning virtual eating disorder treatment programme, developed in partnership with NHS colleagues to improve access to specialist care for individuals who may otherwise face barriers to treatment.

Orri Online provides structured, evidence-based eating disorder treatment delivered remotely by our multidisciplinary team of therapists, dietitians, psychiatrists and recovery practitioners. Designed to support recovery in the context of everyday life, the programme enables clients to access intensive treatment from home while remaining connected to their support networks, work, family and wider communities.

The programme has been particularly effective in increasing access to specialist treatment for individuals who may struggle to attend in-person services due to geography, work commitments, caring responsibilities, physical health concerns or anxiety around travel. By delivering treatment directly into clients’ daily environments, Orri Online also helps individuals develop and practise recovery skills in real-time, supporting lasting behavioural change and sustainable recovery.

Kerrie Jones, Chief Executive Officer at Orri, said:

“We are delighted that Orri Online has been recognised at the HSJ Partnership Awards again. This double recognition, of both Excellence in Clinical Innovation and High commendation in Best Partnership delivering Virtual care reflects the dedication of our clinical teams and NHS partners, who share a commitment to making specialist eating disorder treatment more accessible to those who need it. Eating disorders are complex illnesses that can have a profound impact on every aspect of a person’s life, and we know that barriers to accessing treatment can delay recovery. Orri Online was developed to help address those barriers, ensuring more people can access expert, multidisciplinary care in a way that fits around their lives. We are incredibly proud of the outcomes achieved through the programme and look forward to continuing our work with partners across the healthcare system to improve access to treatment and recovery.”

At Orri, we remain committed to working collaboratively with healthcare professionals, NHS services and partners to expand access to specialist eating disorder care and deliver better outcomes for the individuals and families we support.

A Strong NHS Partnership

Dr Sara McCluskey, Consultant Psychiatrist for the Kent and Sussex Adult Eating Disorders Provider Collaborative, said:

“We’re delighted to be partnering with Orri to deliver this innovative service, which is receiving such wonderful feedback from people who need specialist support with eating disorders. The Orri service means that rather than be admitted to hospital for treatment, people can remain at home for their care, which helps them to feel more in control of their recovery. The virtual delivery means that people across Kent, Medway, and Sussex can access intensive treatment.”
