Orri provides day care to people aged 16 and above recovering from an Eating Disorder. We are committed to changing the way eating disorders are treated by providing intensive day treatments (both online and in person) and outpatient programmes. As part of the multi-disciplinary team, the post holder will provide a systemic family therapy interventions to clients, their families and carers throughout all stages of a clients recovery, including clients attending full time day care to those stepping down into outpatient treatment.
The postholder will support the Service Director the lead in the development, training and supervision of family intervention skills throughout the MDT, and support the team in facilitating family strengths and resilience, so that families are better able to cope with and adjust to the challenges of Eating Disorder recovery.
The role provides the opportunity to develop as a specialist systemic family therapist, with the knowledge to work with the highly complex cases referred for specialist family treatment. There is also the opportunity to develop, over 18 months in the role, to senior family therapist within the service.
