Transitioning from home to university is a significant and often overwhelming experience for many people.
The sudden shift in social environment, coupled with the pressures of academic expectations and the need to establish new relationships, can create a perfect storm of stress and anxiety.
For some, this period of change can exacerbate or even trigger eating disorder symptoms, as they turn to disordered eating behaviors as a way to cope with the overwhelming emotions.
