Annual leave: The basic annual leave entitlement in a full year is 33 days inclusive of bank holidays. Leave entitlement is pro rata where applicable. The service is closed for the Christmas and New Year period.
We are looking for passionate and enthusiastic individuals with experience of working with eating disorders.
As part of a multi-disciplinary team the post holder will have responsibility for the assessment and provision of Orri client’s therapeutic needs. Responsible for the development and evaluation of therapeutic interventions and psychology, s/he will deliver relevant forms of Psychology in partnership with clients, carers and other professionals, where appropriate, in line with agreed standards, clinical polices and without direct day to day supervision, for those clients who have been diagnosed with an eating disorder.
The post holder will contribute to the delivery of the daily Orri therapy programme and they will be expected to be closely involved in discharge planning throughout the service users care. The post holder will be expected to work with clients using evidence based and client centred principles to assess, plan, implement and evaluate interventions, which provide clients with the confidence, skills and coping strategies required for independent living.
The post holder will be actively involved in Orri research projects and outcome studies. They will be accountable to the Director of Clinical Services or Clinical Manager (where in post) for the management of their workload and the delegated functions to other team members ensuring that the right level of competency of their team members is matched to duties being undertaken.
The post-holder will practice within and ensure that the practice of junior team members is within legal and ethical frameworks according to appropriate codes of professional conduct, mental health legislation and contractual obligations.
The post-holder will be expected to interface between the Community Mental Health Team, In-Patient services and other Mental Health Network services and agencies as required.
The post holder will be expected to have significant knowledge and experience of working with people who have been diagnosed with an eating disorder, and competent to support their psychological needs.
