We are looking for a confident and experienced Finance Manager to join Orri’s Finance Team on a maternity cover contract. Working closely with our Finance Director and Finance Associate, this role plays a key part in maintaining and strengthening Orri’s financial planning, reporting, and governance – ensuring our financial operations continue to support the delivery of exceptional care.
Key Responsibilities
The Finance Manager will oversee day-to-day financial operations and contribute to strategic financial management across the organisation. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Managing complex client financial queries across all service lines.
- Collaborating with Clinical and Admissions teams to ensure financial processes are fully aligned with wider operational workflows.
- Preparing accurate and timely financial statements, including monthly management accounts and balance sheet reporting.
- Producing weekly and monthly financial management information and KPI reports.
- Supporting the Finance Director with shareholder reporting and ad hoc commercial analysis.
- Analysing financial performance, identifying trends, and presenting clear, actionable insights to senior leadership.
- Overseeing accounts payable and payment runs.
- Reviewing and supervising the monthly payroll file prepared by the HR team and processed by the payroll bureau.
- Overseeing the VAT return prepared by the Finance Associate.
- Planning, testing, and implementing updates or new finance systems (e.g., Xero, Orri Hub).
- Ensuring strong financial governance structures are in place to maintain compliance with financial regulations and accounting standards.
- Identifying and managing financial risks.
- Supervising, mentoring, and supporting members of the finance team.
- Leading on the year-end process and preparation of annual accounts.
- Overseeing the external audit and tax computation process.
