Meet the team

Lin Copland,

Psychotherapist

Lin works as part of the outpatient team as a Psychotherapist.

Lin has been a therapist specializing in eating disorders since 2001, with experience in both in-patient and outpatient settings. She trained in cognitive analytic therapy at the Warneford, Oxford, which has proved a useful modality to explore early experiences relating to the development and maintenance of eating disorders. She also incorporates Acceptance and Commitment therapy, which offers skills to work with unwanted experiences that might arise when individuals challenge their eating disorder. Lin has an interest in compassion-focused therapy and the benefits of being kinder to ourselves as a therapeutic tool in ameliorating harsh internal dialogues.

She recognizes that self-care is an important part of being an effective therapist. She enjoys walking in the New Forest, practicing yoga and qi gong, gardening, cooking for friends, and sea swimming in the warmer months.
