Joan completed her medical degree at Guy’s and St Thomas’ Hospitals (UMDS) in 1994 and went on to a BSc in Psychology at University College London. She began her psychiatry training in 1996 and discovered a lasting passion for eating disorder treatment during an SHO post under Professor Lacey in 1998.
