Charlotte has been part of the Orri team, since September 2023. She works with clients in both the day treatment and outpatient services.
Charlotte began her career as a professional actress. She trained at The Guildhall School of Music and Drama, and spent the next 20 years working across theatre, TV, radio, and film. Charlotte then decided to have a new chapter and, transitioning to the field of mental health, she retrained as an Integrative Therapist. Initially she gained valuable clinical experience working at Wimbledon Guild Talking Therapies. This role provided her with extensive practice in a variety of clinical presentations.
Charlotte furthered her expertise by working with secondary school students at ‘Trinity Academy School’ in Brixton and subsequently at ‘Bird College of Professional Dance and Musical Theatre.’ It was here that she developed a particular interest in working with eating disorders, inspired by the complex needs of her clients.
To enhance her proficiency, she completed a ‘Master Practitioner Training in Eating Disorders’ with The National Centre for Eating Disorders (NCED) and pursued CBT-ED training through Oxford University.
Additionally, Charlotte is one of the Mental Health Act Hospital Managers at The Priory Hospital in Roehampton and she manages a small private practice.
Charlotte’s unique blend of artistic and clinical skills enhances her warm therapeutic approach, particularly in her specialty area of eating disorders, aligning her practice with contemporary clinical standards and client-centred care.
