Anandi Jooste has been a valued member of Orri’s online program since April 2021, offering her expertise to individuals in their eating disorder recovery journey. Based in Cape Town, South Africa, Anandi brings a global perspective to her work, combining a strong academic foundation in social work and psychology with extensive hands-on experience.
With over 10 years of experience in eating disorder services, Anandi has worked across inpatient, day treatment, and outpatient settings, equipping her with a deep understanding of the complexities of eating disorder recovery. At Orri, she provides individual psychotherapy and facilitates therapeutic groups, including a weekly body image group. Her passion lies in helping clients rebuild and reframe their relationship with their body, fostering self-compassion and empowerment within recovery.
In addition to her clinical qualifications, Anandi is a certified yoga teacher, integrating an appreciation for somatic experiences and the mind-body connection into her therapeutic practice. She recognises the value of connecting with the body alongside traditional talk therapy, helping clients cultivate greater awareness and acceptance.
Anandi’s approach is deeply compassionate and client-focused. She emphasises the importance of building a trusting therapeutic relationship where hope, accountability, and healing can thrive.
