Orri is a specialist eating disorder treatment service, offering expert day treatment and outpatient programmes designed to support long-term recovery.
Nurturing Hope is our free monthly space exploring eating disorder recovery through themes that meet people where they are.
Eating disorders can be incredibly isolating. They can encourage secrecy, make it difficult to communicate what’s really going on, and create the feeling that we need to manage things alone.
But connection can be a powerful part of recovery.
Support doesn’t need to begin at crisis point. Learning to let others in, recognising when we need help and building relationships where we feel understood can make recovery feel safer and more sustainable.
In Strength in Connection, we’ll explore the role that relationships and community can play in recovery. We’ll consider what can make reaching out feel difficult, how to ask for support earlier, and how to recognise the people and spaces that help us feel less alone.
We’ll also reflect on what supportive connection looks like for each of us — because there is no single right way to build a recovery network.
Recovery doesn’t have to happen alone.
This session will be led by Kerrie Jones (she/her), CEO & Founder of Orri.
