Lavinia is an Eating Disorder Associate at Orri. She holds an MSc in Psychology from the University of London, where she conducted research into the less visible presentations of internal hyperactivity in ADHD. In particular, she explored how experiences of internal restlessness can differ by gender and impact emotional regulation and mental health.
Before moving into the clinical field, Lavinia completed her undergraduate degree at the University of Manchester, which included a year living and working in Buenos Aires, Argentina. This experience contributed to her interest in the social and relational contexts of mental health, and how this can affect our sense of identity and belonging.
Lavinia has experience supporting children and young people within mental health settings and brings a reflective, person-centred approach to her work. She is mindful of how complex and demanding mental health difficulties can be and is committed to offering compassionate and reliable support. Lavinia works with the belief that recovery is possible and that, with commitment, care and the right support, there is always a way forward.
