Tegan Rix,

Head of Occupational Therapy


Tegan is a Specialist Occupational Therapist and Head of Occupational Therapy at Orri. 

Originally from Namibia, she holds an BSc with Honours degree in Occupational Therapy from the University of Stellenbosch in South Africa and a Postgraduate Diploma in Addiction Care in Psychiatry. With 10 years of experience in both the private and inpatient sectors, Tegan has played a key role in developing and leading specialist adolescent and eating disorder programmes—both in South Africa and the UK. She previously was involved in developing the first private adolescent inpatient programme for eating disorders in South Africa. When moving to London, she established the first OT department at a top London psychiatric hospital and served as Acting Lead Therapist in the Eating Disorders Unit. Tegan has provided supervision to fellow OTs, and supported complex cases across general psychiatric and OCD/BDD units. Alongside her current role, she runs a private practice supporting adolescents and adults across the UK, South Africa, and Namibia.
