ARFID stands for Avoidant Restrictive Food Intake Disorder.
Previously coined ‘Selective Eating’, ARFID usually involves limitations and/or restrictions around food, but differs significantly from other eating disorder diagnoses.
ARFID is Beat’s theme for this year’s Eating Disorders Awareness Week. Orri’s specialist team is offering a free, 30-minute information session on the ARFID diagnosis and discuss what meaningful and effective treatment can look like.
The panel will cover:
- What is ARFID? How does it manifest in different people?
- Dietetic approaches to ARFID treatment
- Therapeutic approaches to ARFID treatment
- Q&A – an opportunity to hear your questions
Your expert panel:
Kerrie Jones, CEO & Founder of Orri and psychotherapist
Paula Tait, Head of Dietetics at Orri
Katy Pey, Psychotherapist at Orri
This event is for everyone – individuals, family members and healthcare professionals alike.
