Orri is seeking to appoint a speciality doctor to join the existing medical team comprising Professor Paul Robinson, Head of Psychiatry, Dr Sara Morando, Consultant Psychiatrist in Eating Disorders and Responsible Officer and Dr Louisa Beckford Consultant Psychiatrist in Eating Disorders.
The selected candidate will be directly supervised by one of the Consultant Psychiatrists and consultant support will be available throughout the working day including the management of clients who are medically high risk.
The post holder should be someone who embodies the values of Orri, can conduct themselves in a professional and compassionate manner, and is able to hold a safe space for the prospective client to feel comfortable and supported.
The successful Speciality Doctor should have strong clinical note taking and reporting skills, as well as team collaboration and communication skills. The post holder will be expected to engage with monthly supervision sessions for their personal wellbeing and professional development.
The post holder will be highly organised and proactive, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team, and to manage and prioritise a varied and busy workload. The post requires a positive and hands on attitude and approach; with empathy, influencing and interpersonal skills.
The successful post-holder is expected to take part in CPD within the framework of the Royal College of Psychiatrists. The post-holder will join a peer group and will have a Personal Development Plan which is agreed within the peer group. They will be expected to remain in good standing with the Royal College of Psychiatrists taking account of College CPD guidance.
