Meet the team

Pippa Richardson,

Community Outreach & Somatic Lead

Pippa joined Orri in January 2020 and currently works in Community Outreach and as Head of Somatic Therapy. Pippa has over a decade of experience working in the field of trauma and body based therapies, offering group and 1:1 sessions in both clinical and non-clinical settings. Before joining Orri, she worked at the NHS Maudsley Hospital working with Children & Young People. Pippa believes that an ‘embodied’ approach to ED recovery is essential and passionately supports the development of a holistic approach in the process of Eating Disorder recovery.

Pippa leads the Somatic Therapy Department & Program at Orri, ensuring that a ‘somatic approach’ exists at the heart of the therapeutic approach and delivery across Daycare & Outpatient Services. She is responsible for the in-house Trauma Informed Training for the clinical team and is currently focusing on Orri’s Outreach & Education Program as part of our “recovery for all” mission, as well as service development.

Pippa sits on the in-house DEI committee and is committed to delivering anti-oppressive care. She is passionate about supporting individuals to create positive change in their lives, relationships and communities.
