Kimia is an Eating Disorder Associate from California with Iranian heritage, who works in our day treatment service.
Kimia is committed to anti-oppressive clinical practice, striving to understand and address the intersections of diversity, identity, and mental health within her work. Kimia places a strong emphasis on the critical importance of ensuring each client feels seen and valued in their unique context.
In her role, Kimia works with Romy Wakil, Head of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) and Senior Psychotherapist, to advance various initiatives aimed at enhancing the service’s inclusivity and cultural competency. Kimia is passionate about doing this work to help create supportive and affirming spaces for clients and staff to promote a deeper understanding and appreciation of diverse backgrounds and experiences.
